This afternoon we headed to DUMBO (Brooklyn) to celebrate Belle’s friend’s first birthday. Her Mum did SO well. I have not been to many kiddie birthday parties but this one was up there.
The location (Jane’s Carousel) was just stunning. The carousel is inside that glass box in the picture above. It sits overlooking the water with incredible views of the city and it is not just for kids. There were plenty of adults riding that thing. If you are visiting NYC then pop DUMBO on your list of places to visit. Beautiful.
The party was late afternoon which meant that we got to enjoy the sunset as we ate pizza, popcorn and rode the carousel round and around and around. Perfect. And just look how cute the food was…
Super-Mum had even prepared little pots of chopped strawberries and cheese for the babies to enjoy. Belle was thrilled…
I cannot believe that this is the same baby that I worried so much about when we were weaning her. She didn’t start eating until she was about nine months but my gosh is she making up for it now. I cannot fill her. This girl can eat, anything and everything. Phew!
Look at that light. Ahhhh, what a lovely afternoon. DUMBO is stunning. If you are in NYC, I highly recommend a visit.
